Orphan pages

Orphan pages can be quite troublesome to any website, especially if the website has masses of content. It is that point when the links that actually point towards the page would not be updated, whenever that page gets deleted or is moved. There are also some orphan pages, which are newly made pages that are not linked up to the rest of the website. Orphan pages become toxic for SEO because such pages keep content hidden from search engines. Orphan pages become an interface between blogs and pages that are known by crawling onto your website to finally discover new pages that might exist in its geography. Orphan pages without any internal links are untraceable by search engines, thus never indexed. This can hinder the ranking of your site on an engine result page (SERP). Orphan pages can also make a difference to the user experience. If your users do not find a page within your site that they are looking for, the chances are that they will be exasperated and leave your site, leading to high bounce back and low conversion rates. Hence, orphan pages must be dealt with on an urgent basis. The best way of tackling them is by creating internal links to those pages from the relevant pages of the site. You can also use Google Search Console to find such orphan pages on your website.
