How WebGlobals collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information — and how you can access it, correct it, or make a complaint.
Effective date: 20/07/2026 · Last updated: 20/07/2026
Team Web Globals (ABN 65 600 477 271), which also trades as WebGlobals (“we”, “us”, “our”), respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information, and applies to this website (webglobals.com.au) and to the digital marketing services we provide.
We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). Where we send commercial electronic messages, we also comply with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
We generally collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services. This typically includes:
Contact and enquiry information — your name, email address, phone number, business name, website address, and anything you choose to tell us in an enquiry, booking or message.
Appointment information — when you book a call with us, the date and time you select and the details you provide in the booking form.
Client and account information — if you engage us, the information needed to deliver and bill for services, including billing contact details and correspondence. This may include access credentials for platforms you ask us to work on; we treat these as confidential and use them only for the work you have authorised.
Website usage information — our web server and our analytics provider record information such as IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time on page. We use this for security, troubleshooting, and to understand how our website is used.
We do not ordinarily collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, or political or religious beliefs). If we ever need to, we will ask for your consent first, unless the law permits otherwise.
We collect personal information:
Directly from you — when you complete a form on our website, book an appointment, call us, email us, or deal with us in the course of providing services.
Automatically — through standard web server logs and the technologies described in section 5.
From third parties — occasionally from referral sources, or from publicly available business information (for example, a company website or public business directory) where we are assessing whether our services may be relevant to your business.
If you provide us with personal information about someone else, please make sure you are entitled to do so and that they are aware of this policy.
We use personal information to:
— respond to your enquiry and arrange or conduct an appointment;
— prepare quotes and proposals;
— deliver, support, manage and bill for our services;
— communicate with you about work in progress;
— improve our website, services and internal processes;
— send you marketing communications where you have consented (see section 6);
— meet our legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.
If you choose not to provide the information we ask for, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or provide the service you are after.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only where necessary, including to:
Service providers who operate our systems — our CRM, forms and booking platform (LeadGenie, built on GoHighLevel), our website hosting provider (Cloudways), and our email and business systems (Zoho).
Marketing email platforms — where you have consented to receive marketing, we send it using Brevo and/or LeadGenie (GoHighLevel).
Our professional advisers — such as accountants and legal advisers, where reasonably required.
Where required or authorised by law — for example, in response to a valid request from a law enforcement agency, court or regulator.
Where we provide services to a client, we may handle personal information on that client’s behalf. In those cases the client is generally responsible for that information, and their own privacy policy will apply to it.
Our website and its data are hosted in Australia — on servers located in Sydney, New South Wales.
However, some of the providers we rely on are located, or store data, outside Australia. This means your personal information may be disclosed to overseas recipients, including:
— Google — we use Google Analytics and Google’s advertising tags on this website, and Google Fonts, which disclose information such as your IP address and browsing activity to Google — United States and other locations;
— GoHighLevel (the platform behind LeadGenie), which handles our website forms, appointment bookings and some marketing email — United States;
— Brevo, where used to send marketing email — European Union (France).
We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but we may not be able to control how information is handled once it is outside Australia.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies:
Essential cookies — used by WordPress and our caching system so the site functions correctly. These cannot be turned off without affecting how the site works.
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through a Google tag, to understand how visitors use our website. It sets cookies (typically named _ga and _ga_ followed by a code) which usually last up to two years. These record information such as pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at our site. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you personally. Visits by logged-in administrators are excluded from tracking.
Advertising cookies — Google Ads. Our Google tag also includes a Google Ads destination, which may be used to measure conversions from our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited our website (remarketing).
Embedded LeadGenie forms and booking calendar — loaded from GoHighLevel, and may set their own cookies to operate the form or booking session.
Google Fonts — our fonts are loaded from Google, which discloses your IP address to Google when the page loads.
How to opt out. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly if you do. You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and manage how Google personalises ads to you at myadcenter.google.com.
We only send marketing emails or messages where we have your consent, or where you are an existing client and the message relates to services similar to those we already provide to you.
Every marketing message we send will identify WebGlobals as the sender and include a simple way to unsubscribe. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link, or by emailing team@webglobals.com.au. We will action opt-out requests promptly, and in any case within the timeframe required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).
Opting out of marketing does not stop us sending you messages we need to send about work we are doing for you.
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include access controls on our systems, encrypted connections to our website, and limiting access to the people who need it to do their job. Our website and its data are hosted in Australia.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it, or for as long as the law requires:
— Client and financial records — at least five years after the engagement ends, to meet Australian Taxation Office record-keeping requirements;
— Enquiries that do not become clients — up to two years, then deleted or de-identified;
— Marketing contacts — until you unsubscribe, after which we remove you promptly and keep only the minimum needed to honour your opt-out.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or de-identify it.
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading.
To make a request, email team@webglobals.com.au or call 0485 023 123. We may need to verify your identity before we act on the request.
We will respond within a reasonable period, and ordinarily within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request. If we refuse your request, we will tell you why in writing and explain how you can complain.
If we suspect a data breach involving personal information we hold, we will assess it promptly. Where a breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify the individuals at risk and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
If you think we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at team@webglobals.com.au. We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can refer the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner:

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always available on this page, and the effective date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make a significant change, we will take reasonable steps to let affected individuals know.
