Keyword Clustering

Keyword Clustering is an SEO technique focused on organising search related keywords based on a generally common purpose for searching and of a similar subject. Rather than optimising for individual keywords, keyword cluster would be the basis for building content around a core topic with its specific subtopic areas. In other words, it affirms the method on how one covers an entire subject area and proves expertise to users and search engines. In this case, building content clusters becomes even more interesting by allowing targeting of a wider range of relevant keywords, improving one’s chances of ranking for long-tail keywords, as well as enhancing that overall topical relevance of a website. This results in better search engine rankings, increase in organic traffic, and finally improved user experience. Keyword Clustering usually starts with the main or primary keyword, which serves as an anchor on the main topic, and a search for the other relevant secondary keywords, long-tail keywords, and questions that relate to such keywords and associated to that topic. These could then form the clustered keywords that would contribute to the central pillar page for covering a main topic while generating supporting cluster content for elaboration on those related subtopics.
